2007
Hello
Bassplayers and -friends!
Time
passes by so quickly. It’s more than 10 years ago that I started
building bass guitars. I’m happy to say that it is still my passion
and I’m glad that - besides all the obstacles - I still have the
possibility to be free to do what I like most. Although my road was not
an easy one.
Especially during the last months I had to go through some difficult situations.
But now the troubled waters are calm again and I’m back to business.
I
want to thank all the people who supported me over the last years, especially
my family and my friend Daniel who is the “right hand” of
Ritter Bass Guitars. I thank all my customers. Without your feedback and
affirmation for what I’m doing, my Basses wouldn’t exist.
On
the occasion of my 10th Anniversary I release a limited edition of 10
Roya “Late Lounge” Basses today. See Pictures here:

The
News July 2007:
1. Illegal Ritter Copies
At
Ebay they sell Basses looking like my Roya, Okon and Jupiter Designs.
These are all illegal knockoffs made of bad quality. I don´t cooperate
with other producers and I don´t sell my designs to mass production
companies!
I would also like to point out that the smear campaign starting last December
throughout Germany about Daniel and me not building our instruments by
ourselves is a downright lie. I assure you that all Ritter Basses are
handmade by Daniel and me as you can always have a look at visiting my
workshop.

3.
RITTER BODY TUNING Setup
A lot of costumers like the "tunerfree" look of my fretless
backside tuning setup. This, however, cannot be installed on a fretted
bass. As a result I designed a "headless" BODY TUNING setup:

NEWS
January 2007
Hello
Bassplayers and -friends!
The
year 2006 has been extremely busy for Ritter Bass Guitars. We moved into
a new bigger studio with more space for production because the amount
of orders just kept increasing. Still, by the end of the year, Daniel
and I had big problems to handle all the orders. Luckily my father retired
a few weeks ago and is now with Ritter Bass Guitars.
I’m
very sorry for the order stop of the last months. But otherwise the order
time would have passed one year and I don’t like to schedule my
business for more than 12 months.
I’m taking new orders from today.
The
News 11.January 2007:
Ritter Royals Website now online
Finally I started my exclusive Ritter Royals Line with a separate Website.
The Ritter Royals demonstrate my current idea of instrument building.
I
just made, beside others, a few very pompous basses featuring massive
Gold pieces, Diamonds and other gemstones. At the moment I’m working
on Basses with totally different statements:
Featuring e.g. old damaged and used wood bodies – made out of floor
boards of a local 400 years old house, super rare flamed swamp oak with
a few thousand years of age, historic surface treatments from the Baroque
and Renaissance and so on.
I presumably will not make more than 7-8 pieces a year. Stay Tuned!

History Album & Owners Gallery Update
I uploaded a lot of more bass pictures in the “History Album &
Owners Gallery”. If you are a Ritter Owner please check if your
instrument is already online and if your name shows up. Please send me
an update if not.

NEWS
January 2006
Hello
Bassplayers and -friends!
It
seems like I have to accept that I’m just not able to send out a
periodical newsletter! I’m sorry for the long silence again, but
the last months have been very busy:
1.
New Address:
Our workshop in Wachenheim turned out to small for the amount of orders
we received the last months. So I had to lookout for a bigger residence
to handle the situation. We finally found an old vineyard house in Deidesheim
which is no more than a 5 minutes drive from the previous place. Pictures
of the new workshop will follow soon!
Please update the address:
Ritter
Bass Guitars
Weinstrasse 19
67146 Deidesheim
Germany
Phone: +49 6326 981 428
2.
NAMM Show Los Angeles
